on february 24, the city’s school safety work meeting guided by qingdao municipal education safety committee was held and the branch meeting venue was set up in the municipal education and physical sports bureau. after the meeting, the special meetings of the municipal education safety committee on the topic of strengthening the city’s school safety were held and ding zhaoxia, deputy mayor of laixi, attended.
the meeting pointed out that securing school safety was a major project that people greatly cared about and had a bearing on government reputation, working quality and systematic work. therefore, all units must adhere to the principle of territorial management; the school security mechanism with “party committee and government as the leadership, division of responsibility among different departments, and school-society cooperation” as the guideline needs to be established and enhanced; the long-term mechanism for comprehensive management of the school and surrounding area’s security needs to be completed. all units need to carefully investigate the hidden conflicts and safety risks in schools, take targeted educational and control measures, strengthen pre-risk assessments, and resolutely solve prominent problems that the majority of teachers and students care about.
the meeting also pointed out that securing school safety is an arduous task, so that all units need to see from the bigger picture by considering political significance, stability and development, establish and stick to the idea of “people-oriented, safety first”, closely cooperate with each other, strengthen management and step up implementation. following the rules and division of responsibilities of the municipal education safety committee, all towns streets and member units need to earnestly perform their duties, strengthen collaboration, and advance the campaign on school safety investigation to eliminate security risks, ensure the safety of students and make education meet the expectation of the public.
